Terms of Service

Please read these terms carefully before using the FixaTrader platform. They set out the rules for using our services and the rights and obligations of all parties.

Welcome to FixaTrader Ltd ("we", "our", "us"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our website and platform (the "Platform"). By using the Platform you agree to be bound by them.

By accessing or registering on the Platform, you confirm that you have:

  • Read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms
  • Read and agreed to our Privacy Policy

If you do not agree, you must not use the Platform.

What We Do

FixaTrader provides an online marketplace that connects customers with tradespeople and businesses across the UK. We facilitate connections and communications between parties — we do not directly perform any trade work.

Important Disclaimers

  • We do not directly employ, endorse, or guarantee the work of any tradesperson listed
  • We do not act as an agent, contractor, employer, or insurer for either party
  • All agreements for work are made directly between customers and tradespeople
  • FixaTrader facilitates the connection only

Scope of FixaTrader Services

Poster

A customer or user posting a job request or requesting a quote.

Fixer

A tradesperson responding to or completing a job.

How the Platform Works

Posters publish job requests or quote requests on the Platform

Fixers may submit quotes in response. Some quote details may be publicly visible.

Posters may revoke or modify job requests before accepting a quote

When a quote is accepted, a Job Contract is created between the Fixer and Poster

Payment is deposited into a secure Payment Account managed by Stripe

Both parties can modify the contract through the Platform messaging system

Upon completion, both parties are encouraged to leave reviews and feedback

Use of the Platform

You must be at least 18 years old to use FixaTrader
Use the Platform only for lawful purposes and provide accurate information
Businesses may claim their profile to verify ownership and update information
Do not misuse the Platform by uploading malicious content, harassing users, or bypassing security measures

Fees & Payments

No FixaTrader Fees

FixaTrader Ltd does not charge connection, quoting, or payout fees.

Payment Processing

  • All transactions processed by Stripe
  • Only Stripe's standard processing fees apply
  • Payments held securely until job completion
  • Funds released to Fixer's Stripe account on completion

Payment Security

We never handle or store card details directly. Payment security and PCI DSS compliance are managed entirely by Stripe.

Payment Disputes

If a dispute arises between a customer and tradesperson, resolution is handled through Stripe's dispute process. FixaTrader does not arbitrate disputes or issue refunds on behalf of either party, but may provide relevant transaction information to assist resolution where appropriate.

Public Profiles & Information

Some business listings on FixaTrader may include publicly available information sourced from Companies House, official directories, or other open data sources.

Profile Verification

When businesses claim their profile, we may verify ownership through:

Document checks
Phone or email confirmation
Review of publicly available business data

Verified profiles are marked accordingly on the Platform.

Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability

"As Is" Service

The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available" without any warranties, express or implied. We aim to ensure information on the Platform is accurate, but we do not guarantee completeness or suitability.

FixaTrader Ltd Is Not Responsible For:

  • Any losses, damages, or disputes arising between customers and tradespeople
  • Your use or inability to use the Platform
  • Any unauthorised access to or use of our servers
  • Any interruption or cessation of service
  • Any conduct or content of third parties
  • The quality or outcome of work performed by tradespeople found through the Platform

Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, FixaTrader Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly.

We do not guarantee the Platform will always be available, uninterrupted, secure, or error-free. We may suspend or withdraw access at any time for maintenance, updates, or legal compliance.

Account Suspension or Removal

We may suspend or remove accounts or listings that breach these Terms, provide false information, or misuse the Platform. Grounds for enforcement include:

Providing false, misleading, or fraudulent information
Harassment or abusive behaviour toward users
Posting false or defamatory reviews
Impersonating another person or business
Engaging in fraudulent activity or payment disputes
Violating any applicable laws or regulations
Using the Platform in a way that harms others or FixaTrader

We reserve the right to refuse service, terminate accounts, or remove content at our sole discretion if necessary to protect our users, our business, or comply with legal obligations.

Reviews & User Content

Users may submit reviews, ratings, comments, photos, and other content ("User Content"). By submitting content, you grant FixaTrader a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, display, and distribute it in connection with the Platform.

By Submitting Content, You Confirm That:

Your content is accurate and based on genuine experience
It does not violate third-party rights (including intellectual property or privacy)
It is not defamatory, obscene, or unlawful
It does not contain harmful code or malicious links

FixaTrader reserves the right to moderate, edit, remove, or refuse User Content that violates these Terms or is deemed inappropriate. We are not responsible for User Content posted by others and do not endorse opinions contained within it.

Intellectual Property

All site content, branding, logos, and design elements remain the property of FixaTrader Ltd or our licensors. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works without prior written consent.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The latest version will always be available on our website.

Continued use of the Platform after updates constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

For significant changes, we may notify you via email or a notice on the Platform.

Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Platform shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
