Community Guidelines

FixaTrader exists to help homeowners and businesses connect with trusted tradespeople across the United Kingdom. These guidelines help maintain a safe, transparent, and trustworthy environment for everyone.

By using FixaTrader, you agree to interact with other members honestly, professionally, and respectfully. These guidelines apply to all activity across the platform — including profiles, messages, projects, reviews, recommendations, rankings, and marketplace interactions.

Enforcement

We may remove content, limit visibility, suspend accounts, or permanently restrict access where behaviour threatens platform integrity, member safety, or trust within the marketplace.

Respect & Safety

All members are expected to communicate respectfully and behave professionally at all times. The following behaviour is prohibited:

Harassment, intimidation, or abusive conduct
Threats, violent language, or hateful behaviour
Discrimination based on race, religion, nationality, gender, sexuality, disability, or protected characteristics
Trolling, inflammatory behaviour, or deliberate disruption
Sharing explicit, offensive, or unlawful content
Attempting to manipulate or pressure other users

We take reports relating to member safety seriously and may escalate serious incidents to relevant authorities where appropriate.

Privacy & Personal Information

Members should avoid publicly sharing sensitive personal or business information in comments, public descriptions, or other visible areas of the platform. Private information should only be shared where necessary and through approved communication channels.

Do not share publicly:

Phone numbers
Email addresses
Personal addresses
Private identification documents
Third-party payment details
External contact links intended to bypass the platform

Fraud, Spam & Manipulation

FixaTrader prohibits fraudulent or misleading activity intended to manipulate trust signals, rankings, recommendations, reviews, or marketplace visibility. Accounts involved in fraudulent behaviour may be permanently removed without notice.

Fake reviews or recommendations
Artificial engagement or ranking manipulation
Misleading business claims or impersonation
False verification information
Spam messaging or mass solicitation
Lead harvesting or scraping member data
Creating duplicate or deceptive accounts

Platform Integrity

FixaTrader's marketplace, rankings, and discovery systems rely on authentic business activity and accurate member information. Members may not:

Attempt to reverse engineer ranking systems
Exploit platform vulnerabilities or automation systems
Artificially influence leaderboard positions
Manipulate project activity or engagement metrics
Use bots or automated systems that negatively impact platform performance

Note: Leaderboard rankings are algorithmically generated and continuously updated based on platform activity and trust-related signals.

Payments & Off-Platform Activity

FixaTrader encourages transactions and project communication to remain on-platform wherever possible to help protect both customers and tradespeople. Members must not:

Encourage payment circumvention
Use deceptive off-platform payment arrangements
Post misleading pricing information
Manipulate project pricing after agreements are made

Attempting to bypass platform systems in ways that undermine trust, safety, or marketplace fairness may result in enforcement action.

Reviews, Recommendations & Rankings

Reviews, recommendations, verification systems, and leaderboard rankings are important trust mechanisms within the FixaTrader ecosystem. All reviews, endorsements, and business information must be genuine and based on real experiences or completed work. We may remove or restrict:

Misleading reviews or testimonials
Incentivised or coordinated review campaigns
Manipulated recommendation activity
False business verification claims
Content intended to distort ranking accuracy

Account Standards

To maintain trust across the platform, all users must provide accurate and authentic account information.

Members must be at least 18 years old
Users may only operate one account unless explicitly authorised
Profile names and business details must be genuine
Impersonation or misleading identity information is prohibited
Members are responsible for all activity conducted through their accounts

We may request additional verification information where necessary for safety, fraud prevention, or compliance purposes.

Enforcement

FixaTrader reserves the right to investigate behaviour that may violate these guidelines or threaten the integrity of the platform. Enforcement actions may include:

Content removal

Immediate removal of violating content

Reduced visibility

Lower rankings in discovery systems

Temporary restrictions

Time-limited access limitations

Account suspension

Full suspension pending review

Permanent termination

Irrevocable account removal

Serious violations involving fraud, abuse, illegal activity, or threats to member safety may result in immediate enforcement action without prior notice.

Reporting Violations

If you believe a member has violated these guidelines, please contact the FixaTrader team as soon as possible with relevant details and evidence.

We review all reports carefully and take action where appropriate to protect the platform and wider community.
